You are right about most promotion tools being a fad. Just like twitter, facebook and myspace, they soo will be replaced by hotter social communities. I give these sites another 3 years before something grander will come into light. I think the traditional methods of marketing is more effective because most people are not using these methods anymore, thus you will not have as much competition. Good post!
